Tool: Tumblr

As part of my role in Suzzallo's Government Publications (et al.) unit, I get to go diving into the Gov Pubs stacks to find fun and visually interesting artifacts to showcase on unit social media. They're also a fun way to show an audience the depth and breath of government documents. For instace:

• The Story of the PWA in Pictures is a gorgeous booklett on the Public Works Administration's work in the 20s and 30s! Great for art, history, or engineering audiences.
• You can talk about how librarians are trained now vs how we were trained in the past with this collection of professional development materials.
• And sometimes mistakes can be a great way to show people how not to set up a scanner.
